AI Briefly is operated by Mallika Iyer from the United States. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our website (aibriefly.com), subscribe to our newsletter, use our consulting services, or otherwise interact with us.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. We collect only the data necessary to deliver our newsletter and consulting services, and we do not sell your personal information.

2. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Account information: Email address and name, collected when you sign up via Google OAuth, Apple OAuth, or magic link through our authentication provider (Supabase).
  • Payment information: Payment details are processed by Stripe. AI Briefly does not store your credit card numbers, bank account details, or other financial account information on our servers.
  • Booking information: When you schedule a consulting session, booking details are collected via Cal.com.
  • Communications: Any information you provide when you contact us by email.

Information Collected Automatically

  • Analytics data: We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics service that does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. Plausible collects aggregate information such as page views, referral sources, browser type, device type, and country - but does not track individual users or create profiles.
  • Server logs: Our hosting provider (Vercel) may collect standard server log data including IP addresses, browser user-agent strings, and request timestamps. This data is used for security and performance monitoring.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Deliver our newsletter and content to subscribers.
  • Manage your account and subscription status.
  • Process payments for premium subscriptions and consulting.
  • Schedule and deliver consulting sessions.
  • Analyze aggregate site usage to improve the Service (via Plausible - no personal tracking).
  • Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate AI Briefly. Each has its own privacy policy governing how they handle your data:

  • Supabase - Authentication and user management.
  • Stripe - Payment processing. Stripe is PCI DSS compliant.
  • Resend - Transactional email delivery (e.g., magic links, receipts).
  • Plausible Analytics - Privacy-friendly website analytics. No cookies, no personal data collection.
  • Cal.com - Consulting session scheduling and booking.
  • Beehiiv - Newsletter distribution and subscriber management.
  • Vercel - Website hosting and content delivery.

5. Data Sharing

We share your personal information only with the third-party service providers listed above, and only to the extent necessary to deliver the Service.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your data with advertisers. AI Briefly does not run advertising and has no plans to introduce advertising for at least twelve months from launch.

We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, or legal process, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

6. Cookies

AI Briefly uses minimal cookies. Plausible Analytics does not use cookies of any kind. Supabase authentication uses a session cookie to keep you signed in - this is a functional cookie required for the Service to work and is not used for tracking.

We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party cookies for analytics or profiling purposes.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you request deletion of your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes.

If you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation:

  • Right of access to your personal data.
  • Right to rectification of inaccurate data.

AI Briefly does not sell personal information. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit (TLS) and secure authentication practices. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data.

10. Children's Privacy

AI Briefly is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a person under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email (sent to the email address associated with your account) or by posting a notice on the website before the changes take effect. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
